Flood damage repair scheme for sports centre
Following prolonged periods of torrential rainfall Snape Munroe were asked to project manage the repair of a flood damaged sports centre.
Initially we met with the buildings trustees and insurance loss adjuster to determine the extent of the flood damage and agree the scope of reinstatement repair works.
It was found the flood damage had impacted on all rooms and facilities in the sports centre building including the main sports hall, squash courts and changing rooms.
Whilst the sports centre dried to permitted levels a specification was drafted and agreed with the insurance loss adjuster.
The reinstatement works included the replacement of water damaged plaster, plasterboard and timber wall linings, sprung timber floors, carpet and vinyl floor finishes, doors, skirtings and electrical services. Finally the sports centre would be redecorated throughout.
Snape Munroe then attained competitive prices for the work, advised the client / loss adjuster on which contractor offered “best value” and project managed the works to their successful conclusion.
